How should a student consider the recent tsunami Course in Japan?
The short answer is with the Holy Spirit.
Consider the long answer.
A Course in Miracles teaches us that everything we experience is something that is in the "script." If life is our dream and we are the dreamer, then it is our mind has chosen to dream.
shared events - like the tsunami - are incidents that we have chosen to experience collectively. Thinking about why it is no use, since it is the individual being we think we are the one who has made the choice. Therefore, feel personally responsible will only deepen the purpose of strengthen ego guilt.
However, it is necessary to observe our reaction to this event to help us wake up and thus return to the part of our mind that you can take a different decision.
whole purpose of this course is to remind us that we can change master, changing the system of thought. We can change our devotion to the voice of the ego - which tells us that we are victims of the world we see - and to channel the voice of the Spirit - which reminds us that we're still in our home in God.
As students, it is essential that we ask the Spirit to help us see honest thoughts that we entertain. This means to observe our reaction in the light of love that can see the fear and guilt buried in our hearts.
After this, our words, thoughts and actions will reflect the love that unites us. In any situation then we lovingly respond to our brothers - victims or villains across the world after a tsunami or standing there in front of us.
